Our story kicked off in the Northern Territory, where the sun doesn’t mess around. 12-hour shifts, week after week — every day you could feel the burn.

 

Back then, I’d shove an old rag under my hard hat. It kept some heat off, but it wasn’t stopping the UV. It wasn’t protection — just getting by.

 

That’s when the idea hit: workers needed something better. something that fit under a hard hat safely, kept you cool, blocked UV, and didn’t feel like a punishment to wear.

The WorkDu

We built the WorkDu because we needed it ourselves. After trial and error, version after version, we finally nailed it: the WorkDu Bamboo. The name says it all — it’s made from bamboo. A material we chose because it breathes, it wicks sweat, and it delivers durability and comfort better than anything else.

 

Every WorkDu is tested to UPF 50+, the highest sun protection rating you can achieve, blocking 98% of UVA and UVB rays. Each piece is laser cut to keep the sizing spot on, giving a safe, comfortable fit.

 

 From the very start, it’s been about one thing — building gear that’s functional and practical, the kind you can trust to do the job day in, day out.
